Groton City Brew Run Returns September 12 to Support The Riverfront Children's Center

GROTON, CT – Lace up your running shoes, gather your friends and family, and get ready for a day of fitness, fun, local brews and community spirit at the Groton City Brew Run, returning to Eastern Point Beach on Saturday, September 12, 2026.

Now an annual community tradition, the Groton City Brew Run brings together runners, walkers, families, local businesses and craft beverage enthusiasts for a fun-filled day along the Groton City shoreline. More importantly, this year’s event provides an opportunity for the community to come together in support of The Riverfront Children’s Center.

Hosted by the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce, Groton Utilities and Kelley’s Pace, the Groton City Brew Run features a scenic 5K, a kids run, a post-race Brew Garden, live music, food trucks and family-friendly activities.

At the heart of the Groton City Brew Run is a commitment to helping The Riverfront Children’s Center continue its important work serving children and families throughout the region.

The Riverfront Children’s Center provides high-quality, affordable early childhood education and care, while supporting the unique needs of children and their families. For families, access to dependable, quality childcare can make an enormous difference — helping children build strong foundations for learning and development while giving parents the ability to work, pursue education and support their families.

“Events like the Groton City Brew Run demonstrate what can happen when our business community and residents come together behind an important local cause,” said Bruce Flax, President of the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce. “We’re excited to give participants a great day out while helping support The Riverfront Children’s Center and the children and families who rely on their services.”

Participants can register for the 5K, Kids Run or 5K Walk, or attend the event and enjoy the Brew Garden festivities without participating in the race. After crossing the finish line, participants can enjoy the Brew Garden, featuring craft beverages from local breweries and beverage partners, along with live music and a variety of food options.

Race Schedule:

10:30 AM – Kids Run

11:00 AM – 5K Run & Walk

11:30 AM – Brew Garden, Live Music and Food Trucks
