About

Based on the values of community, culture, and creativity, Mystic Museum of Art (MMoA) has served as a focal point for the arts in southeastern Connecticut for more than 100 years. Founded in 1913 as the Mystic Art Association, MMoA today delivers transformative art experiences via richly curated exhibitions, interpretive activities, studio classes, and outreach programs, to ever broader audiences.

Don't miss the special summer exhibition From Crisis to Color: Derriere le Miroir ("Behind the Mirror") featuring artwork by Matisse, Chagall, Calder, Miro and many others in one of the most remarkable stories in the history of Modern Art. Visit any day from 11 AM to 5 PM, Tuesdays to 7 PM. Admission free to members, children under 12, active military and veterans and their families. $10 to non-members.

MMoA’s mission is to inspire creativity and critical dialogue by engaging the regional community in the understanding, appreciation, and practice of visual art.
