Independence Physical Therapy opened for business September 5, 2005 in a space that used to be the town pharmacy in downtown Ledyard CT. Due to the scheduled demolition of the building, IPT swiftly moved to a temporary worksite trailer, operating with one therapist and one administrative assistant to answer the phone and schedule patients, while waiting for its present site to be finished. IPT moved to its current Mystic location in April of 2007 and has rapidly grown since then largely due to much appreciated, patient and doctor referrals, creative marketing, and of course great patient care. We now have two locations, Mystic and Uncasville/Montville, to better accommodate our patients.

Our goal at Independence Physical Therapy is to provide the expert rehabilitative care needed to return you to your optimal functional level, allowing you to go back to doing the things you love.

Whether from sports or orthopedic injuries to spine and joint pain, post surgical conditions including total joint replacement, pelvic health issues or neurological problems, our highly skilled staff is dedicated to providing a compassionate, positive and dynamic environment allowing you to focus on your health, healing and recovery.
