The 17th Annual International Sea Glass Association Festival will be held at Mystic Seaport Museum on July 29-30. Shop and support ISGA artists who will be selling their creations, and learn about sea and beach glass from experts. Do you have a unique piece of sea glass, washed-ashore bottle, toy, or pottery shard you’d like to show off? Enter the “Shard of the Year” contest! The International Sea Glass Association (ISGA) is a non-profit organization founded in 2005 to support sea and beach glass collectors and the community. It aims to educate the collector, consumer, and retailer as to the properties and benefits of genuine, pure, unaltered sea and beach glass and maintain its value through education. The organization also works to protect and restore waterways and coastlines around the world by mobilizing its members, making donations and educating the public. Some association members would like to offer Mystic Seaport Museum members a discount for shopping with them either online or in person on Sea Glass Association website for festival information and members offering the discount. MSM Members may use the online code: MYSTIC23 for the discount or show your membership card at a vendor booth on the Village Green. This event is included in admission to the Museum, and free for Members. Tickets are good for both days of the event.
