Description

Serigraph (or “silkscreen”) printing is a versatile and popular method in printmaking and textile design. It involves creating images on a screen and pressing ink through the fine mesh with a squeegee onto various surfaces, to produce vibrant, precise shapes of color. Students will learn the rich history and techniques of serigraph printing, and create serigraph monoprints, using water-soluble watercolors and gouache. We will also study color theory, drawing techniques, and composition principles for compelling artworks. This workshop is for beginners and for those wishing to expand their skills.
The workshop is limited to 15 students, to allow time for individual guidance.
