Description

Come join Mystic Aquarium and Block Island Maritime Institute to help us clean up Sandy Point! The exposed nature of the point results in large amounts of marine debris washing up along the shoreline. Fishing gear, microplastics, balloons, and other items wash ashore causing harm to local wildlife. Help us preserve this idyllic beach and protect our native wildlife, as we clean up more than a mile of shoreline. Participants will be entered into a raffle for a gift basket. All necessary equipment will be provided.

Location: Meet at the Block Island North Light parking lot.
