It's summer concert season again and we are so excited about the line-up we've put together for you. This year we have FOUR bands that have never played at our event before - Mystic Dead, Branded, Whiskey Boulevard and Diva and the Playboys - along with some of our all time favorites back for more. Wild Nights, The Cartells and Wicked Peach are back to rock the park, and each are must see shows.

The Friday Night summer concert series is held at Washington Park, Meridian Street in Groton. All concerts start at 6:30 pm and are co-sponsored and co-produced by Groton Utilities and the City of Groton Parks and Recreation Department.

The concerts are designed to be especially appealing to families for a fun, inexpensive night out. Spectators are encouraged to bring their families and enjoy the food trucks and concession stand. The concert site also has sufficient room on the basketball court for dancing.

Mystic Dead

Mystic Dead brings the timeless music of the Grateful Dead to life with an electrifying tribute performance full of improvisation and classic Dead favorites. Featuring seasoned musicians and authentic jam-band energy, the band recreates the spirit and sound that made the original legendary. Expect extended jams, unforgettable songs, and a laid-back concert vibe that will have fans dancing all night.

Branded

Branded delivers a high-energy mix of country favorites, pop hits, and rock-and-roll classics that keep the crowd singing and dancing all night. With nearly two decades of rocking stages across the Northeast, this band knows exactly how to turn any show into a full-blown party. Expect big sound, great songs, and a performance that brings the fun from the first note to the final encore.

Wild Nights

Wild Nights is one of Southeastern Connecticut’s best party rock bands. The band plays music spanning across multiple decades - something to make everyone dance and have a blast! With songs by artists ranging from Dua Lipa, Tom Petty, The Weeknd and Kenny Loggins all the way to Guns and Roses and Eminem, there is something for everyone.

The Cartells

The Cartells are back again and ready to bring the party with them. Masters of jazz, swing, rock, Motown and R&B – The Cartells know how to play practically anything and leave the audience smiling. Come on down and enjoy a terrific band.

Whiskey Boulevard

Whiskey Boulevard brings a high-energy mix of country, rock, and blues that turns any stage into a powerful live music experience. With powerhouse vocals, tight harmonies, and a band that rips through classic hits, their sound delivers grit, groove, and crowd-pleasing fun. If you like big guitar riffs, sing-along favorites, and a band that plays like they mean it, Whiskey Boulevard delivers a show you won’t forget.

Wicked Peach

Wicked Peach is this area’s ultimate rock cover band and is a staple on the southeastern New England music scene. Wicked Peach rocks the hard rock classics from the 90s better than anyone, while offering up a satisfying sampling from the 70s, 80s and 2000s to keep the crowds coming

Diva and the Playboys

From Dion to Dua Lipa, Diva and the Playboys deliver a high-energy, interactive celebration of pop music through the decades. Covering everything from 1960s classics to today’s biggest hits, their massive song list keeps the dance floor packed. Expect a lively show full of familiar favorites that music fans of every generation can sing and dance along to.
