Description

Speaking of Art: Join us Tuesday, April 14 from 5:30 – 6:30pm, as MMoA Assistant Curator Amelia Onorato gives a presentation about Coast to Coast: Views of America.
The early and founding artists of the Mystic art colony were drawn to this region for its natural beauty, but many of them also traveled extensively around the United States and captured impressions from Connecticut to California in pastels, watercolors, oils, acrylic, and photography.
Coast to Coast: Views of America by Mystic Artists will feature works by Charles Harold Davis (1856-1933), Lorinda Dudley (1845-1930), Earl Kenneth Bates (1895-1973), G. Victor Grinnell (1878-1946), Walter Milton Killam (1907-1979), Y.E. Soderberg (1896-1972), Harve Stein (1904-1996), G.B. Mitchell (1872-1966), and many more, both on loan and from MMoA’s permanent collection.
