Description

The MMoA One World Project is an annual program with New London public schools to enrich the curriculum with the study of art of cultures from around the world. With the guidance of MMoA artist educators, students in the KTJ Studios create artwork on a theme that reflects diverse social and environmental realities and traditions. The project culminates in an exhibition showcasing the artwork and highlighting the research and creative expression of the students. The goal of this project is to engage students in finding creative new pathways to community with individuals from other cultures. MMoA educators deploy the power of art to foster fascination, build problem-solving skills, and most of all to encourage young learners to identify as global citizens, with an inclusive and equitable world view.
