Join us in a celebration of new work by John Tedeschi--friend and popular local art teacher. John is deeply integrated in his community and depicts everyday life by participating and portraying aspects of work and play. This series of works explores the idea of play--a concept we feel expresses what he loves most about being involved in his community.

About John: John Tedeschi is an artist and educator. He is a figurative, portrait painter and often incorporates printmaking into his processes while working. He uses oils, watercolors and woodcuts in a variety of applications. He teaches drawing and painting at Westerly High School and is the Fine Arts Chair for Westerly Public Schools. John was recognized as Rhode Island Art Educator of the Year in 2017. He earned his BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University in Illustration and more recently a Post-Baccalaureate certificate from Lyme Academy. John has been commissioned for public and private works.
