Walk (or drive!) up the hill to the library for our second annual Holiday Open House. You will be greeted by Santa’s sleigh and eight tiny reindeer on the Library Lawn. Come inside to get warm and have a homemade cookie and a glass of cider as you enter the library. Carolers from Stonington High School will be singing. A string quartet from Fitch High School will be playing, and the Mystic Ukulele Strummers will be strumming. The children’s room will be brimming with holiday crafts and grab ‘n go bags. Feast your eyes on the beautiful tree decorations made with love and talent by the Mystic Calligraphers.The Calligraphers are also offering a craft for us all to learn how to make names tags calligrapher-style. Then come upstairs to the Spicer Reading room to marvel at Captain Spicer’s 1893 design and to see 2024 Santa (and Mrs. Claus).
