Sunday, March 3, 2024 (1:00 PM - 2:30 PM) (EST)

Description

Join GOSA, in partnership with Groton Public Schools and the Town of Groton Parks & Rec, on Sunday afternoon, March 3rd at 1 PM for a free, family-friendly hike at the historic 305-acre Avery Farm which spans the border between Groton and Ledyard. Hikers will meet at the parking lot located at the end of Lambtown Road, Ledyard (Coordinates: 41°23’58.1″N 72°00’40.9″W). This easy hike will explore some of the property’s unique features including a Haley Brook bridge crossing, our beaver deceiver, varied habitat, and, if we’re lucky, great bird watching. Hike will take 1-1.5 hours, there are no restroom facilities. Don’t forget to bring a water bottle. Visit gosaonline.org for information, directions, and trail maps for GOSA properties.
