GMCC Honors Jen Massengale in the 'Community Proud' Series Sponsored by CorePlus Credit Union

The Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce Jen Massengale as the newest honoree in the ongoing ‘Community Proud’ series, sponsored by CorePlus Credit Union. Jen and her family have been long-standing members of the Stonington community.

Jen is well known in the fitness community. She owns BESPOKE, a thriving fitness studio located in the Velvet Mill in Stonington. BESPOKE offers personal training, group fitness, and nutrition coaching, focusing on individualized programs tailored to clients' needs. Jen’s philosophy behind BESPOKE is simple: everything is tailored to you. From nutrition plans to fitness goals, her studio provides customized experiences for each client.

Currently, BESPOKE is in the midst of an exciting expansion. The studio proudly sponsors several community events, including the Stonington Blessing of the Fleet 5K, the St. Michael’s School 5K, the Tour de Noank 5K, the CFA Oktoberfest 5K, and its collaboration with Beer’d Brewing for the Spin n’ Sip event, which raises money for the Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation.

Jen holds a master’s degree in early childhood special education and has been dedicated to teaching for many years, most recently at Groton Public Schools from 2015 until last year. She remains connected to the education community by occasionally substituting at Stonington Public Schools. Her husband, A.J. Massengale, has coached football at Stonington High School for over 20 years.

With deep roots in the community, Jen has lived in Connecticut for 44 years, spending her childhood in Pawcatuck and now residing in Mystic with her husband, their three teenage children, and two English Labradors. Outside of her professional life, Jen enjoys open water swimming, trail running, road cycling, and spending time with her family traveling, hiking, and attending Stonington High School sporting events. She also finds inspiration in other people, describing herself as a people person who thrives on energy and connection.

Jen's core values are family, faith, and honesty, and she is a devout member of St. Patrick’s Church. Her commitment to the community, her dedication to her family, and her drive to support local businesses make her a shining example of what it means to be "Community Proud."
