GMCC Celebrates Annie Chapman of Earth Annie Yoga in 'Community Proud' Series

The Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce highlights Annie Chapman of Earth Annie Yoga as part of the 'Community Proud' series, sponsored by CorePlus Credit Union.

Annie Chapman has been a beacon of inspiration in our community, dedicating her life to empowering individuals through the practice of teaching yoga. Her commitment to enhancing the well-being of others is evident in her extensive work and volunteer efforts.

Three years ago, Annie collaborated with the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce to launch Yogapalooza, a dynamic and educational event that introduces participants to a variety of yoga styles. This year, Yogapalooza will be hold on June 20th at UConn Avery Point, promising a day of learning, practice, and community engagement.

The essence of yoga, as Annie teaches, is self-love--a powerful tool for healing the body, mind, and spirit. Through her dedication, Annie has significantly contributed to the health and happiness of many in our community.

In addition to her yoga practice, Annie is one of the visionaries behind Fiddleheads Food Coop. She spearheaded the initial meetings that led to the establishment of this thriving cooperative, which has since grown into a full-service grocery store in New London. Fiddleheads Food Cooperative specializes in local, organic, and natural products and is owned by over 4,000 households across southeastern Connecticut. The cooperative supports over 90 Connecticut farms and businesses, fostering a sustainable and health-focused food system.

Annie's passion for the planet and the environment is woven into all her endeavors. Her efforts and community spirit make her an invaluable asset to our region.

Join us in celebrating Annie Chapman, a true community champion whose work continues to uplift and inspire.
