Bank Square Books presents a solidarity watch party with Writers for Democratic Action. 

Writers for Democratic Action to honor Heather Cox Richardson, author of Letters From An American, with the Inaugural Gitlin-Auster Defender of Democracy Award. Followed by a conversation between Professor Richardson and esteemed writer Siri Hustveld, a WDA founding member and author of Ghost Stories: A Memoir. A representative from the League of Women Voters SECT will be on hand to register voters and answer questions about how and when to vote in upcoming CT elections. Writers for Democratic Action is a national organization of journalists, writers, and poets engaged in defending democracy and the First Amendment freedom of expression.
