Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra: Infinite Seasons

Description

Infinite Seasons

Vivaldi |  Four Seasons, Op. 8
Mozart | Serenade No. 6 in D, K. 239
Brahms | Symphony No. 3 in F, Op. 90

January brings the ECSO’s most intimate and beloved concert of the year: a full performance of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, one of the most recognizable and endlessly rewarding works ever written.

ECSO Concertmaster Stephan Tieszen steps forward as soloist for an evening built entirely around his virtuosity and musical intelligence. Vivaldi’s four concertos, each a vivid portrait of a season in rural Italy, are by turns stormy and serene, playful and profound. In Tieszen’s hands, they feel as fresh and urgent as the day they were written.

Whether you’ve heard The Four Seasons a hundred times or are coming to it for the first time, hearing it live, with a world-class orchestra and soloist in the breathtaking Garde Arts Center, is an experience unlike any other.
