Description
Laura LoTurco-Gorian
Welcome to the creative world of collage and printmaking! This hands-on workshop explores the expressive possibilities of texture, form, and composition while participants create their own unique collagraph prints.
Collagraphy is a versatile printmaking technique in which a variety of materials are assembled and adhered to a rigid surface to create a printing plate. Once inked and printed, these textured plates produce richly detailed, tactile images full of depth and character.
The workshop begins with designing and constructing collagraph plates, experimenting with layers, shapes, and surfaces. After sealing the plates, participants will explore inking and printing techniques that bring their creations to life. Suitable for beginners and experienced artists alike, this workshop offers an engaging introduction to a unique and rewarding printmaking process.
All materials are supplied.
There is a $5 materials fee, payable to the instructor.
Participants are encouraged to bring a smock, baby wipes and lunch.
