THE EUGENE ATWOOD FUND: EMPOWERING STUDENTS WITH INTEREST FREE LOAN AND AWARD PROGRAMS
STONINGTON, CT –The Eugene Atwood Fund is proud to announce the continuation of its various interest-free loan programs and awards, dedicated to supporting industrious young individuals in New London County. Entering its 108th year, the Fund remains committed to its mission of aiding deserving students who strive to achieve the best results in life.
Trade/Tech School and Certification/Licensing Interest Free Loan Program
Applications for the Trade/Tech School and Certification/Licensing Interest Free Loan Program are now open on a rolling basis. The application process will continue until all allocated funding has been disbursed or until February 28, 2025, whichever comes first. This program will reopen in May 2025 when new funding becomes available.
College Bound Interest Free Loan Program
Starting January 1, 2025, applications will be accepted for the College Bound Interest Free Loan Program. This program offers interest-free loans to students pursuing higher education, providing them with financial support to reach their academic goals without the burden of interest.
Awards Programs
The Eugene Atwood Fund also offers two prestigious awards to further support senior high school students:
- The Eugene Atwood Award: This award recognizes outstanding academic achievement and provides financial assistance to deserving students.
- The Eugene Atwood Innovation Award: This award funds the purchase of tools and equipment for students pursuing careers in trades, ensuring they have the necessary resources to succeed.
