The Pequot Neepun Teachers Institute is a week-long residential professional
development opportunity for K-12 school teachers from across the country designed to
deepen historical knowledge and encourage more accurate and representative teaching
of Indigenous cultural life ways and history.
This initiative is a collaborative partnership of the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and the
MPTN Education Department and reflects the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation’s
dedication to empowering educators and inspiring future generations to engage with
Indigenous culture history in meaningful and transformative ways.
Support the Pequot Neepun Teacher Institute and help bring authentic Indigenous
history into classrooms. Your donation provides educator scholarships, curriculum
resources, and hands-on learning rooted in Native perspectives.
