Luminaria: A Winter Walk in the Woods

The Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center invites you to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the season to experience the peace and wonder of a winter walk in the woods. Taking place Decemebr 12, 13, and 14, stroll through the forest on a self-guided tour of trails lit by the soft glow of nearly 1,000 luminaria. After your walk, gather by the warmth of a festive fire at our Winter Café to enjoy complimentary hot cider or cocoa. Indulge in delicious snacks or treat yourself to holiday-themed beverages, including spiked hot chocolate or hot cider, wine, and more (available for purchase). Inside, join us for holiday-themed nature crafts. 

Whether you’re starting a new holiday tradition with loved ones, planning a cozy winter date night, or organizing an office outing, Luminaria offers a unique way to celebrate the season. This event is perfect for all ages and don't forget to bring your own flashlight!

Tickets include complimentary snacks and warm beverages, with adult libations available for purchase separately.

Saturday, December 13 featured guest: North Pole Santa

North Pole Santa will make a special appearance for children during the 5:00, 5:30, and 6:00 pm time slots. Snap a holiday photo in the treehouse before or after your walk.
