
Workshops are designed for 20 individuals. Larger groups will be divided.
Groups larger than 20 will have different schedules and attend different workshops/
One adult/chaperone is required for every 20 students.
Participation is on a first-come, first-served. Registration closes once the capacity is reached.
Registration is confirmed only after payment is received.
No refunds for canceled registrations.
Teachers (with a group or class): Register via the Google Form.
Parents/Chaperones (with an individual student): Register through Active Network.

All vehicles must be registered before arrival. Instructions for vehicle registration will be emailed the week of the event.
Photos will be taken during the event. Please notify the photographer if a student should not be photographed.
Marine Science Day runs rain or shine so please dress accordingly. Activities may include outdoor walking, shoreline investigations, wet-lab activities and boat excursions.
Close-toed shoes required (no flip-flops, please).
Dressing in layers- it’s often cooler and windier by the water.
Recommended: sunscreen, hat and water bottle.
Students should bring their own lunch and drink. Indoor and outdoor eating spaces are available. Participants may picnic or walk the Avery Point campus during the break.
Workshops may feature Project Oceanology, Mystic Aquarium, UConn Avery Point faculty and graduate students, the Connecticut National Estuary Research Reserve (NERR), and CT Sea Grant.
Boat excursions are limited. A lottery system will determine student participation. Please ensure students understand this process.
