Watercolor for Absolute Beginners

Taught by Carol Mann. This workshop is a great introduction to watercolor for those who want to explore the medium from the very beginning. Designed for beginners, the class introduces skills in an organized, step-by-step way, with each lesson building on the previous instruction. Students learn to apply flat and graded washes, mix colors, assess and control the moisture of both paper and brush, blend smooth transitions, glaze and lift pigment, and create textural effects using salt and plastic wrap. No prior experience is required, and all materials are provided. A $25 materials fee is payable to the instructor. 5-week series Wednesdays, 1pm – 4pm March 11 – April 8 Members $240 / Nonmembers $280
