NATURE INK AND WASH: A Creative Workshop for Teens. AGES 11 – 14

Description

This workshop introduces teens to creating whimsical animal and plant illustrations using pen and ink, enhanced by watercolor washes. Participants will learn essential inking techniques such as line weight, cross-hatching, and stippling through demonstrations and practice. They will sketch their chosen nature-inspired subjects, develop compositions, and refine their drawings before carefully inking outlines and adding texture and shading. Finally, students will apply controlled watercolor washes to bring color and depth while preserving the ink details. The process includes introduction to tools, sketching, detailed inking, watercolor application, and final refinements, fostering both technical and artistic skills.
