Description
Taught by Lisa Miceli.
Fear of making mistakes in watercolor can often prevent painters from fully exploring
what the medium is capable of. This workshop focuses on approaches to watercolor
that encourage spontaneity and allow the natural flow of pigment and water to help
create the image, rather than relying on overcontrol of the process.
Through demonstrations, individual instruction, and small studies, the workshop guides
students in experimenting with watercolor, trusting the process, and letting go of a fixed
outcome. A variety of subject matter is explored, which may include land and
seascapes, flowers, still life, semi-abstract imagery, and reference photos provided by
participants.
All levels of students welcome.
