Description
Jamaican singer songwriter Clinton Fearon is one of the reggae pioneers from Jamaica. He started his professional journey in the late 60s with the mythic band The Gladiators, playing bass and singing with them for 18 years. In the early 90s, Fearon began a solo career in Seattle, WA, where he founded his own band. Since then, he released thirteen original albums and collaborated with artists like Alpha Blondy, Mike Love, The Movement, Emeterians and many more.
Clinton Fearon performed in major festivals in each continents, and regularly in the United States (Sierra Nevada World Music Festival, Reggae On The River, National Folk Festival, Festival International de Louisiane, Houston International Festival, Salmonstock, Ithaca Reggae Festival, etc.), Canada (Latin Caribbean Festival, Victoria Ska Reggae Festival, World Beat Festival, etc.), Europe (WOMAD, Rototom Sunsplash, Garance Reggae Festival, Printemps de Bourges, Stimmen festival, Celtic Connectionetc.), Brazil (Virada Cultural, Republica Do Reggae, World Music Festival, Feira de Santana, etc.), Africa (Kenya and Ivory Coast), and more countries occasionally (Peru, Honduras, New Caledonia, Hong Kong, etc.).
His latest album “Breaking News” was released in 2022 and supported by tours in Europe and USA.
