The Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce is proud to feature Johnny Longinidis in our Community Proud series. Johnny is the embodiment of community, dedicating his life to giving back and helping others grow—mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

A lifelong resident of Southeastern Connecticut, Johnny grew up in Waterford and has called Stonington home for the past 15 years. His family owns the beloved Angie’s Pizza, a local favorite that has served generations of customers. “There is an incredible sense of pride from everyone who works here—pride in our community and in the three generations of customers we’ve served,” says Johnny. The restaurant is deeply involved in supporting local sports teams, charities, and organizations like the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center.

Beyond the family business, Johnny owns Pranayama Studios in Mystic.  

His journey into personal development began in 2009 when he sought a discipline to complement his background in jiu-jitsu. Over the years, he has evolved into a personal development coach, specializing in helping individuals break through mental and emotional barriers.

His work includes:

• Breathwork, meditation, and subconscious rewiring to help people shift their mindset.
• Supporting entrepreneurs and business leaders in overcoming limiting beliefs.
• Group classes and retreats and online programs.  

“The gap between where people are and where they want to be is often a dysregulated nervous system,” Johnny explains. “I help people get to the root cause of their struggles and guide them toward real transformation.” Seeing his clients experience “aha” moments and major breakthroughs is what fuels his passion.

Johnny has trained with some of the world’s leading experts in meditation and breathwork, earning certifications that enhance his coaching practice:

• RYT 200-hour yoga certification (Mystic Yoga Shala, 2016)
• Breathing coach certification (The Oxygen Advantage, 2018)
• Somatic Release Breathwork certification (2022)
• Ayurveda Teacher Training (2020)
• Advanced training with Dan Brulé, Steve Maxwell, George Mumford, and Brian McKenzie

As a lifelong learner, Johnny is deeply fascinated by human potential and consciousness. “There’s so much more to discover,” he says. “I believe every person has incredible gifts, and I want to help them realize that.”

Outside of work, Johnny loves hiking, exploring, spending time at the beach, and is an avid pickleball player. He also cherishes time with his family, nieces, nephews, and friends. His love of connecting with people is at the heart of everything he does.

Johnny extends his gratitude to his brother, sister, parents, and partner Bethany for their unwavering support throughout his journey.

Johnny is currently focused on expanding his online communities to reach more people seeking transformation. Whether in Mystic, across the U.S., or internationally, his mission remains the same: to help people break through limitations, live extraordinary lives, and step into their purpose.
