The Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce is proud to feature Casha Cappuccio in our Community Proud series, sponsored by CorePlus Credit Union. Casha’s story is one of creativity, determination, and a deep connection to family and community.
Born and raised in Westerly, Rhode Island, Casha’s roots run deep in the area. After attending Boston College for her undergraduate studies, she moved to California to pursue her career as a lawyer while attending the University of San Diego School of Law. For the past 12 years, Casha has lived bi-coastally between San Diego and Rhode Island, blending the best of East and West Coast lifestyles. Her unique perspective is reflected in the vibe of the stores she owns.
Casha and her sister Casten share a lifelong love for fashion, a passion that began in their childhood when they would put on fashion shows for their mom. In 2018, the sisters opened their first retail store, Coppola’s Boutique, in Watch Hill, Rhode Island. The store holds sentimental value—as children, Casha and Casten shopped there with their grandmother. After her passing, they discovered a framed postcard of Coppola’s while cleaning out her attic, a serendipitous moment that led them to purchase the boutique when it went up for sale a year later.
In 2021, they launched Golden Collective, a retail store specializing in activewear and swimwear. In 2022, the sisters opened Wild Belle in Mystic, Connecticut, marking the official storefront debut of a brand they had long envisioned. Mystic’s charm and welcoming community made it the perfect location for their third store.
“Opening the stores has been such a rewarding experience,” Casha shared. “It’s allowed us to connect with the community, meet other business owners, and build camaraderie.” She credits her sister Casten and their team, including Cassidy, for the stores’ success. “My team inspires me every day. Casten and Cassidy are so creative and unique. We all have different personalities and tastes, and when they come together, we create a space that’s truly special.”
While managing three boutiques, Casha works full-time as a lawyer specializing in environmental litigation. Practicing law in both California and Rhode Island, she handles environmentally focused court claims remotely as an associate at a California-based firm.
Casha’s connection to the community and her family are her biggest influences. “Generations of my family have lived in Westerly, and I love that you can find generations of families rooted here,” she said. “The community inspires me to ensure our business is a place where people feel welcome, enjoy themselves, and find some good retail therapy.”
When she’s not working or managing her stores, Casha enjoys outdoor activities like surfing, sailing, hiking, and biking. She’s also an avid boxer and practices martial arts when in California. Her creative side shines through collaborative projects with her mother and mother-in-law, both of whom are artists.
Casha is grateful for the support Wild Belle has received over the past two years and emphasizes the importance of teamwork and community in her journey. “No business can be successful without a brilliant creative team and a supportive community. I want to thank everyone for keeping an open mind and supporting Wild Belle.”
Casha Cappuccio exemplifies the spirit of entrepreneurship, creativity, and community pride that make Mystic such a special place. We are pleased to celebrate her contributions and look forward to seeing her continued impact in the years to come.
