Samantha Storey is a Realtor with RE/MAX Coast and Country in Mystic whose career is defined by connection, care, and community. A proud graduate of the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education, Samantha is known for her people-first approach and genuine commitment to helping others—values she’s carried from her early days as a nursery school teacher and personal fitness trainer into her successful real estate career.

Samantha’s journey into real estate began unexpectedly in 2003 while working as a personal trainer at Advantage Personal Training in Old Mystic. One of her clients, real estate broker George Boyer, recognized her potential and offered to pay for her real estate classes. That gesture changed the course of her life. “Initially, I was unsure—but I took the leap and quickly fell in love with the profession,” she shared. “George became my mentor and played a huge role in shaping the agent I am today. Although he has passed, I carry his lesson and spirit with me every day.”

For Samantha, Mystic has always felt like home. Born in Montreal and raised in Connecticut, she has lived in the area for 47 years and currently resides in North Stonington. Her love for the region runs deep—from its coastal charm and rich history to its sense of belonging and community pride. “I’ve always admired Mystic’s historic homes and lifestyle,” she said. “Now I get to help others discover and embrace that same magic.”

Over her 22 years in real estate, Samantha has witnessed how the industry has evolved—from paper maps and printed listings to today’s digital marketing and social media landscape. Yet through all that change, her philosophy remains rooted in one thing: genuine care. “A good Realtor doesn’t just sell properties—they listen, they care, and they put their clients first,” she explained. “My clients tell me they appreciate my positive attitude, responsiveness, and full commitment to every transaction. Whether it’s a first-time homebuyer or someone selling their lifelong home, I bring empathy, insight, and exceptional service to the table.”

Beyond real estate, Samantha is deeply involved in the community. For more than a decade, she has served as Chairperson for the North Stonington Fair Queen, Princess, and Junior Princess Pageant—a tradition close to her heart, as she once held the title of Fair Queen herself in 1983. “The pageant allows me to give back, connect with families, and celebrate our agricultural roots,” she said. “Watching young women build confidence, public speaking skills, and grace over the years has been so rewarding.”

Samantha’s vibrant personality and love for people shine through in all she does. Known affectionately as “Slammin’ Sammy” on the Pickleball courts, she’s as competitive as she is compassionate—channeling that same energy into her work and community life. When she’s not selling homes, she’s often on the court, socializing, strategizing, and staying active. She also brings that joyful spirit to her favorite holiday—Halloween—hosting an annual costume party that’s become legendary among friends. For 21 years, she’s donned everything from Marilyn Monroe to Wonder Woman, reminding everyone to embrace their playful side.

When asked what inspires her, Samantha says it’s simple: “I try to wake up every day with a smile on my face. Focusing on the positive helps me appreciate the good things around us. I love life itself and people. Helping clients in real estate is a great motivator—it gives me a strong sense of purpose.”

Her advice for aspiring Realtors? “Interview with different offices and start on a team if possible. It’s not just about showing homes—it’s hard work, long hours, and constant learning. But it’s incredibly rewarding.”

Reflecting on being recognized by the Chamber, Samantha shared, “This recognition reminds me that my work and contributions to the community are seen and appreciated. That’s incredibly rewarding—both personally and professionally.”

With her unwavering optimism, authenticity, and heart for helping others, Samantha Storey embodies what it means to be Community Proud.
