As a mother of four boys and co-founder of Just Mystic, Amanda has spent the last five years building a brand that celebrates the unique character, pride, and spirit of the town she calls home. What began as a vision shared with her brother and business partner, Rob, has evolved into a beloved local brand that captures what makes Mystic special while contributing to the town’s vibrant economy.

Amanda was drawn to Mystic because she saw something happening here. She witnessed the town’s momentum, creativity, and energy and believed she could play a role in helping elevate it even further. Through Just Mystic, she found a way to combine her entrepreneurial spirit with her love for community, creating products that allow residents and visitors alike to proudly showcase their connection to Mystic.

At the heart of Just Mystic is a commitment to place. Through thoughtfully designed apparel and accessories Amanda and her team celebrate the culture, history, and charm that have made Mystic one of New England’s most treasured destinations. Along the way, Just Mystic has partnered with many of the community’s most recognizable institutions, including The Whaler’s Inn, Mystic Fish Camp, The Shipwright’s Daughter, Mystic Drawbridge Ice Cream, and Mystic Seaport Museum. These collaborations reflect a shared dedication to quality, authenticity, and preserving the character that makes Mystic so distinctive.

Family remains central to Amanda’s story. As the mother of four boys, she understands the balancing act of entrepreneurship and parenthood. Rather than keeping those worlds separate, she has embraced the ways they intersect. Her sons, along with her nieces and nephews, have inspired designs, tested products, offered feedback, and occasionally pitched in behind the scenes. For Amanda, building a business has always been about creating something meaningful not only for herself, but for the next generation.

Community impact is equally important to her mission. Amanda believes successful businesses have a responsibility to give back, and she has consistently supported local organizations working to strengthen the region. One partnership especially close to her heart is with Project Oceanology, where she provides at-cost design and production services for their summer camp apparel program. Now entering its fourth year, the partnership helps support an organization that educates and inspires future environmental stewards throughout Southeastern Connecticut.

Amanda’s success has never been measured solely by sales or growth. Instead, she takes pride in creating opportunities, supporting fellow local businesses, and contributing to a community that continues to evolve while honoring its roots. Through collaboration, local hiring, and a genuine belief in Mystic’s potential, she has helped create a business that reflects the values of the town itself: creativity, resilience, connection, and pride.
