The Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce is proud to feature Amanda Nall, owner of Bogue’s Alley in Pawcatuck in our Community Proud series, sponsored by CorePlus Federal Credit Union.

Born and raised in Westerly, Amanda has lived in the area for over 30 years. A graduate of Johnson & Wales University with a degree in Culinary Arts, she has been at the helm of Bogue’s Alley for the past decade, carrying on a legacy she began as a dishwasher under the original owners, Fred and Jenn Bogue. Today, Amanda continues to uphold the beloved taste, reputation, and atmosphere that customers cherish while adding her own innovative twists to keep things fresh and exciting.

Bogue’s Alley is a cornerstone of Pawcatuck, known for its daily specials and the ability to cater events of all sizes. The restaurant also provides daily cafeteria-style lunches for Davis Standard’s full staff. Amanda beams with pride when customers tell her they’ve enjoyed Bogue’s catering at local events, a testament to her mission of bringing people together over delicious food.

Amanda’s dedication to the Westerly-Pawcatuck community goes beyond her kitchen. Each year, she and Bogue’s Alley give back to organizations including the Westerly Rotary, Summer Pops, Stonington Little League, Westerly Sports Boosters, Honor Flight Rhode Island, Johnnycake Center, and the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut. When asked what makes the area home, Amanda highlighted the sense of community, tradition, and family that binds Pawcatuck and its surrounding towns.

When asked what inspires her, Amanda replied “Making sure I’m able to take care of my parents, my friends, and the Westerly/Pawcatuck community”. Her parents, Tom and Bobbette Nall, are not only her biggest supporters but also play an active role in Bogue’s daily operations.

In her free time, Amanda cherishes moments with her friends and family, as well as her loyal 11-year-old pup.

The Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce is proud to recognize Amanda Nall and Bogue’s Alley as vital parts of our local community. Their commitment to excellent food, community engagement, and fostering connections embodies the very spirit of what makes our region special.
