The Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce Celebrates Michelle Hallisey of Mind Matters in the 'Community Proud' Series sponsored by CorePlus Credit Union. This series seeks to showcase individuals who have a positive impact on our community. Michelle Hallisey, a recreational assistant at Mind Matters, is being recognized for her exceptional dedication to providing personalized care for some of the most vulnerable members of our community, specifically adults with dementia.

Michelle is known for her positive attitude and compassionate approach, always paying attention to the individual needs and interests of the people she cares for. Michelle’s creativity shines through her creation of unique activities tailored to the clients’ interests and adaptable to their abilities, promoting vital social engagement for cognitive function and individual wellness. Michelle's passion for her work extends beyond her role as a caregiver as she also actively engages with her clients' families, providing crucial support and encouragement.

Her commitment to her clients' well-being was demonstrated during a recent emergency situation, where Michelle displayed composure and leadership, ensuring the safety of her clients and even going above and beyond to alert others in the building about the potential dangers.
