The Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce celebrates the Easter Bunny in our Community Proud series sponsored by Charter Oak Credit Union.

A seasonal icon with a packed social calendar,, the Easter Bunny returns each spring as one of the region’s most in-demand guests. Known for early morning arrivals, flawless surprise logistics, and a signature look that never goes out of style, the Bunny continues to create moments of joy for families across the Mystic region.

You can catch him hopping into Mystic this Saturday at the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce’s Easter Trunk Hop on April 4th from 11am to 1pm at 2 Washington Street. The event brings together local businesses who transform their trunks into festive displays while handing out eggs filled with surprises. With photo opportunities in front of the Traveling Visitor Center and a strong community focus, it is one of the Bunny’s favorite annual appearances.

The Easter Bunny’s schedule does not stop there. Rumor has it you may also spot them at Mystic Aquarium’s spring scavenger hunt, the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center’s Woodland Egg Hunt, and the Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Olde Mistick Village. Between appearances, the Bunny has been known to enjoy a pastry or two from Zest’s Easter menu and is currently deciding between brunch reservations at Nana’s,  S&P Oyster, Rocks 21, The Bistro, or the Hilton Mystic. Tough choices.

Despite the whirlwind tour, the Easter Bunny remains a steady and reliable presence, bringing a sense of magic to both large community events and quiet family traditions. Whether it is a perfectly timed visit, a photo that ends up on the fridge for years, or a basket delivered overnight, the impact is simple and lasting.

With roots tracing back to German folklore and the story of the Osterhase, the tradition has grown into something much bigger. The Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce is proud to recognize the Easter Bunny and looks forward to celebrating another memorable Easter season with the Mystic community.
