DESCRIPTION:In Celebration of America's 250th\, the UNITED and the Babcock Smith House Museum present a FREE screening of the short-film The Patriot of Kings County about Dr. Joshua Babcock.\nThe event will feature an introduction from Ed Fazio\, past president of Babcock Smith House docents and a long standing Trustee of the BSH museum and tour guide who plays Dr Babcock in the film\, and Betty-Jo Cugini\, an award-winning media professional from Westerly with more than 35 years of experience.   \nDr. Joshua Babcock was a farmer\, physician\, postmaster\, statesman\, Revolutionary War general\, Rhode Island Supreme Court justice\, one of the three founders of Brown University\, the first Rhode Islander to graduate from Yale\, and a good friend of Benjamin Franklin. The film includes interviews with several local residents\, including Timothy Babcock\, a 10th-generation descendant of Joshua Babcock.
