For students who have gained foundational skills in water control, color mixing, and brushwork, this course provides a nuanced exploration of the medium. Participants will explore various techniques for representing texture, discover ways to use the interactions of granulating and staining pigments, and learn how to integrate opaque paints while maintaining the luminosity achieved with transparent paints. Additional methods and approaches will be introduced to help students further develop their watercolor practice.
