Hardware Hacking Made Easy With CircuitPython (4-parts)

February 17, 2025 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM (EST)

Description

The course will meet Monday, 2/17, 2/24, 3/3, and 3/10, 6-8p.

We all use computers and electronics. But only a few of us know how to connect sensors and small computers to build computer-controlled devices. Wouldn't you like to be one of the brave few? Join us for a gentle introduction to hardware hacking! You will get a versatile single-board computer to connect to your laptop, and we'll use Circuit Python to teach you how to:

  • React to buttons and touch and motion
  • Control lights and motors
  • Maybe even talk to your phone!

This is a beginner-level course that will teach you a little bit about circuits and computers, and we hope to Spark some creative play.

This class requires a computer! You must bring a laptop to use during class. (Windows, Mac, and Linux are all OK.)

If this isn't possible for you, let us know -- we can arrange to have an extra one to use during the class sessions.

This class is intended for students ages 16+

Get tickets here! The class Fee is non-refundable. Please plan accordingly.
