HANGING LIST BOOK : JAPANESE STAB BINDING BASICS AT SHUTTLE PRESS & BINDERY

Description

This beginner-friendly class will introduce you to a historic binding method from Japan! Try your hand at a beginner-friendly Japanese style binding! Students will learn a brief history of the Japanese Stab Binding, and will receive guided instruction on how to create their own hanging list book. Select your cover paper, leather, and thread color, to create a book that is uniquely you! This is a “make and take” class – students will create one hanging list book to take home. While not required, it is recommended that you attend Shuttle Press & Bindery’s “Pamphlet Stitch” class before attempting this binding – we will be building upon the sewing techniques we’ve already learned!
